Description

The University is procuring 2 vehicles, a panel van and a crew van as per the specification, to be utilised alongside the procurement of a wide range of drones, related spares and accessories. This will support the delivery of a new bespoke business support project, the Lancashire Innovation Drone Zone (LIDZ) which will provide specialist Drone technology and related R&D support to new and existing high-growth tech SMEs in the priority sectors of Aerospace, Aviation and Autonomous systems. The LIDZ project will support SMEs to respond to real-time technology challenges, address industry needs and adopt drone technologies to increase productivity and competitiveness, all leading to the establishment of high-demand supply chain in the region.
