Description
Jisc Collections is extending its existing agreement with Springer Nature to offer its member institutions access to and publishing rights in Springer Nature online journals for a further year (2022). Springer Nature is the owner of the intellectual property rights to this content and is the sole supplier of this unique product and service.
Total Quantity or Scope
Jisc Collections is extending its existing agreement with Springer Nature to offer its member institutions access to and publishing rights in Springer Nature online journals for a further year. The existing agreement ran from 1 April 2019 to 31 December 2021. A VEAT was published on 18 December 2020 (2020/S 247-615797) to inform of Jisc's intention to extend this contract for a further year to 31 December 2022. … The agreement is for use by Jisc members and not for Jisc's own use. No challenges or objections were made or received in respect to the published VEAT and therefore Jisc have now extended the agreement as detailed.

Legal Justification
