Description
Technical Specification (Schedule 1) The Tenderer is required to organise and facilitate a workshop (face to face or virtual) to raise awareness on marine litter (specifically Abandoned, Lost or otherwise Discarded Fishing Gear or ALDFG) with fishers and within the fisheries industry in Sri Lanka and share relevant best practices that might help reduce the amount of litter generated by it. The Tenderer will be sure to capture attendance of attendees, capturing role, gender and organisation affiliation. The tenderer will be also be required to create contents for social media for outreach purposes and provide these to Cefas to support awareness by sharing on the CLiP social media pages. Cefas has engaged with several stakeholders to assess the status of ghost gear in Sri Lanka. The Tenderer will be required to feed into this list of stakeholders, involving any other party (NGOs, communities, agencies, administrations) that might benefit from a reduction of ALDFG. The workshop content will be informed by the relevant data obtained by Cefas through questionnaires and workshops throughout CLiP. For the delivery of the workshop the Tenderer will need to prepare the workshop agenda and any associated supporting documentation (handouts etc.) necessary for the workshop delivery. Contribution to the attendee invite list would be required based on any in country connections and/or experiences, and connectivity for the purpose of a remote workshop. Following consultation between Cefas and the Tenderer, the supporting documents might be used for further dissemination in Sri Lanka to increase the reach of the activity. A short report should be prepared post workshop to summarise the topics discussed during the topic, key learnings and outputs of the workshop, and pictures/screenshot of the event. In addition to the above, the following is required: 1. The work needs to be delivered between 15th of February 2021 and end of financial year 2020/2021. 2. A breakdown of activities with expected timeline must occur within 10 days of the project commencement. 3. A final report including a copy of the presentation(s) given during the events and the number of attendees of each event must be provided before the end of the FY for approval by the Cefas representative. 4. A list of the stakeholders (attendees list which includes company affiliation, gender and role) involved in the activity 5. A copy of the presentation for inspection by Cefas scientists before the event 6. A report of the social media engagement obtained through posts related to the activities. 7. The exact delivery dates of the breakdown of activities, workshop date and final report within the time frames mentioned at points 3, 4 and 5 are to be agreed, in writing, between the successful Tenderer and Cefas The Tenderer will be responsible for obtaining any permits or other legal requirements needed to complete and publish the work.
