Description

NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU on behalf of NHS Wolverhampton CCG acting on behalf of West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) (the Commissioner) is seeking to appoint suitably experienced and qualified provider(s) to provide Indiviual Placement and Support (IPS) Services for patients in the Birmingham, Solihull and Coventry areas. In addition, the Commissioner is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and qualified provider for Specialist IPS Pathways provision. The service will be split into 3 lots, the details of which can be found below. The service is anticipated to commence in July 2021 for one year with an option to extend for a further 3 years in 12 month increments at the sole discretion of the Commissioner. The total annual value of the contract is anticipated to be approximately £1,642,965.

Lot Division

1 IPS for Birmingham and Solihull
  • Value: £3M

Lot 1 will be delivered within Primary and Community Care settings aligning to multi-disciplinary healthcare teams. The core target referral routes are as follows: i. Primary care (GPs, practice nurses, other primary care staff members) ii. Community care (IAPT, pain clinics, and other community health and care services) iii. Self-referral (web, telephone, in-person) This involves a further expansion into the West Midlands region adopting the model tested through the recently delivered Randomised Controlled Trial (“Thrive Into Work”) with addition of job retention support. Additional information: Please note that the initial contract period will be for 12 months commencing in July 2021. The contract will include the option to extend for a further 36 months, in 12 month increments at the sole discretion of the Commissioner. The contract value for the initial 12 month period is £758,291.

2 IPS for Coventry
  • Value: £2M

Lot 2 will be delivered within Primary and Community Care settings aligning to multi-disciplinary healthcare teams. The core target referral routes are as follows: i. Lot 3 seeks to develop and deliver IPS within Specialist Service Pathways focusing on the following areas: i. Homelessness ii. Criminal Justice Pathways iii. Neuro-Developmental Pathways Further details can be found in the service specification. Additional information: Please note that the initial contract period will be for 12 months commencing in July 2021. The contract will include the option to extend for a further 36 months, in 12 month increments at the sole discretion of the Commissioner. The contract value for the initial 12 month period is £505,528.
