Description
East Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership (ELHSCP) has developed a Carers Strategy that aims to ensure that young carers, young adult carers and adult carers are supported to manage their caring responsibilities. The strategy also aims to support these carers to manage their own health and wellbeing and are able to have a life of their own outwith the caring role. ELHSCP is seeking providers to deliver aspects of the strategy in particular relating to supporting carers with Adult Carer Support Plans or Young Carer Statements and providing an information and advice service to carers.

1 | Carer Services for Adults East Lothian Council is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced service provider to facilitate identification of adult carers, support completion of Adult Carer Support plans, provide appropriate carer information and advice services, as well as offering peer support, counselling and engagement opportunities for carers. Anticipated contract duration is 2 years with the option for the Council to extend for a further 2 years (year on year basis). Additional information: Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015. |
2 | Carer Services for Young Carers and Young Adult Carers East Lothian Council is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced service provider to facilitate identification and engagement of young adult carers and young carers, support completion of Young Carer Statements and provide appropriate carer information and advice through the provision of 1:1 support. Services provided will also include: - young carers club places for young carers to provide a range of activities that offer a break from caring; - 1:1 support to young carers, young adult carers and their families; - awareness raising sessions to schools, further education providers and the local business community; - support to young adult carers to achieve positive destinations through either employment or further training/education Anticipated contract duration is 2 years with the option for the Council to extend for a further 2 years (year on year basis).
