Description

Our highways teams can generate waste material from works carried out anywhere on the network which must be stored, transferred and disposed of within current environmental and legislative controls. This includes waste generated from the cleansing of highway gullies. Cumbria County Council is seeking prices for the disposal of various categories of site generated wastes from suitable waste disposal site Operators. Qualifying Operators will be included on the framework and will then be available for the Council to use for the disposal of site generated waste. It is anticipated that 8 to 10 operators will be appointed to the framework.

Total Quantity or Scope

The transfer of wastes from the point of production to a particular disposal site will be determined by the location of the Council’s work site, the nature and quantity of the waste, the proximity of the disposal site and the waste disposal prices submitted by the Operator with the framework application. The County Council offer no guarantees as to quantity, or frequency of use of any disposal site. Additional information: Qualifying Operators will be included on the framework and will then be available for the Council to use for the disposal of site generated waste.
