Description

The Emergency Care Response (ECR) service is a short-term service to support adults social care settings experiencing short term staffing difficulties or failure across the Hampshire County Council (HCC) area, during the COVID-19 pandemic. Care providers reporting staffing issues are encouraged to put their own contingency arrangements in place first. In many cases and given the unprecedented issues faced, this has not been enough to maintain safe care delivery to vulnerable individuals and the Council, under its duty of care, has needed to step in with support. The ECR Service will allow the Council to access a pool of care staff from 8am Thursday to 8am Tuesday each week to address any immediate needs related to staff shortages, allowing the provider additional time in which to overcome their difficulties or seek alternative means of support
