This information is requested as part of a soft market testing exercise in order to seek the market’s solution to measuring the tracks position from a vertical, lateral and cross-level at fixed measuring points such as datum plates or spigots/TMGs. Network Rail are looking to see what accurate devices are out there to gain the measurements as mentioned above.

Total Quantity or Scope

NR are looking to see what accurate devices are out there to gain the measurements as mentioned above. The equipment will need to benefit from the following: • The equipment is light weight • The equipment is mobile • Easy operational • Assembly friendly • Waterproof • Internally battery powered with a strong battery life • Robust • Lifted and operated by a single person • Display the measurements live when taken. • Needs to have a quick calibration turnaround. • Cost effective.
