This is a transparency notice confirming the award of a contract for the provision of strategic review into the Aviation Security International Operations (ASIO) within the Department for Transport. This contract has been awarded without a call for competition due to the critical need for the delivery of this requirement ahead of the start of Financial Year 2021/22. A single tender contract has therefore been considered to be justified where, for reasons of extreme urgency brought about by events unforeseeable by the contracting authority, the time limit for the open or restricted procedures or competitive procedures with negotiation could not be complied with.
