Description

NHS Northamptonshire CCG (hereafter referred to as “the Authority”) is seeking to commission a Wheelchairs and Orthotics service (“the Services”) in Northamptonshire. The procurement is split into two Lots with an additional multi-lot option combining the two Lots. Lot 1 - Wheelchair Service: The aim of the wheelchair and posture service is to maximise mobility and independence, and improve the quality of life for service users and their carers, through timely access to appropriate assessment, provision and maintenance of equipment. The Provider should respond to changes in service users’ health conditions through regular review and deliver a service that service users perceive to be a good experience. Lot 2 - Orthotics Service: The service provided will be ‘hub & spoke’ model with a base of practice in Northamptonshire, and the delivery of clinics across a wider area of sites, to ensure both in-patient and out-patient services are provided. The service includes assessment and reassessment, provision (production and fitting) and the review, repair and maintenance of orthoses. The provider will offer a comprehensive range of assessments and orthoses for patients tailored to take into account the needs of the local population. The contract term is a period of 3 years with option to extend up to 2 years. The annual contract value for each service is circa £1.9 million (excluding VAT). The combined annual contract value is £3.8million (excluding VAT). The deadline for ITT submission (including all supporting documents) is 12 noon on 12th April 2021.
