Description

NHS England and NHS Improvement Health & Justice South East seeks bids from providers who have the capability to deliver a Health Needs Assessment (HNA) of trauma pathways for victims/survivors of sexual assault and abuse (adults, children and young people) relating to the whole South East region. Context A task and finish group, led by the national SAAS Team at NHS England, has co-produced a minimum specification for enhanced trauma pathways. A key aim is to support partnership working between NHS and relevant specialist sexual violence voluntary sector partners in the different localities. In order to support the implementation of pathfinder sites to roll out this specification, a scoping of current pathways, their strengths and gaps, has been requested. This scoping exercise will take the form of a regional Health Needs Assessment. The aims of the HNA are: To consider the mental health needs, vulnerabilities and demographics of the populations of Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire and Thames Valley To map the current provision of therapeutic trauma pathways and services in those areas To map the commissioning arrangements of therapeutic trauma services and identify current and future gaps in provision To consider relevant policy, strategy and legislation, and assess service compliance To consider and make recommendations for the enhancement of services, pathways and partnerships To consider issues of accessibility, travel and location To canvass the views and opinions of service users and residents within the South East To canvass the views and opinions of professionals and stakeholders in this sector As a minimum requirement the Commissioner is looking for an organisation who can demonstrate that they have relevant knowledge and experience of having undertaken similar work in relation to therapeutic services within the sexual violence pathway. The contract start date will be from point of award which could be on or before 28th May 2021. The duration of the contract will be 12 weeks from the contract start date. This procurement is being carried out by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW) on behalf of the Commissioners.
