Description

Parkside School require the decommissioning, supply and fitting of a new floor to communal areas. The school is a two-story building. The main school floor is over 20 years old, the newer part of the school is in the region of 20 years old, there are newer areas within the 'newer' building but all the floor is to be replaced. The flooring needs to meet safety specifications, be hard wearing and offer a 20 life. The flooring work must be completed during the Summer Holidays 2021.

Total Quantity or Scope

Parkside School require the removal of the current floor and the supply and fitting of the new floor to be completed over the Summer Holidays. Access to the school would be from 1st August and the school would need ground floor access to be ready for the 10th and 12th August for exam results days. The school area is approx 2500m2 and has a ground floor and first floor, the stairs are also included. Communal areas included are the dining hall, all corridors and stairs but excluding changing rooms and bathrooms. The school has 2 buildings and would like a quote to be split (in case the work cannot be completed in one session over the summer) The intend to have all the work done but need to be realistic with the timeframe and have requested the buildings are split so two quotes are provided if the work were to take longer than expected. Tender Schedule: Bidding Companies to visit school - 9:30am 12th April 2021 Deadline Tender Response - 12pm 26th April 2021 Award of contract to successful company (subject to signing of contractual agreement) 10th May 2021 - Ratification from Governors required Mobilisation Meeting (Provisional) 10am 24th May 2021 Commencement of work for contract 1st August 2021.
