Description

Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service (HFRS), tendered for the Incident Command Unit (ICU) project. ICUs (also known as emergency response vehicles) are specialist fire vehicles deployed to major incidents providing essential equipment and technology to enable the ICU Team to manage fire crews and resolve incidents as safely as possible. The contract has been met in full, which means that organisations will work together to build the vehicle and supply and fit the technical equipment.

Total Quantity or Scope

The Authority has awarded a contract which permits the replacement of its existing command unit with a new and technologically advanced fully operational incident command unit. This includes on-going maintenance and support. Part of the build shall include the supply of free issued IT equipment by the Authority to be installed and reconnected into the new incident command unit. The contract has been awarded to the body builder and supplier of the chassis and will be novated to the ICT and communications provider in accordance with the published ITT.

Other Information
