Description

The University has secured UKRI funding to purchase a transport system that is capable of electrically measuring nano-scale devices as a function of temperature and magnetic field. This system will consist of a closed-cycle refrigerator cryostat and a variable magnetic field platform. The system will be housed in the Herschel-Annex building-based laboratory, which is currently being renovated. The objectives of the equipment are summarized as follows: • To be able to measure devices non-stop from 5 K to 325 K under high vacuum (< 1x10-6 mbar) • To be able to apply external magnetic field through an electromagnet. This double-tuned adjustable air gap system will be integrated on a rotating platform that will enable us applying direction-dependent magnetic field. The scope of this contract is for the supply, delivery and help in installation of the equipment as detailed in the ITT to the University, with after-sales support and 12 months warranty and maintenance.
