Description
Low Carbon Barrow is a programme of investment across Barrow in Furness aimed at reducing carbon emissions through practical and demonstration projects. It is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund, Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership, Barrow Borough Council and Art Gene. Barrow Borough Council has secured funding for the installation of Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Units on Council-owned land. The Council has identified fourteen potential sites for EV Charging Units (see Table 2) and requires an assessment of the feasibility of those sites in terms of their suitability and the likely costs of installation. We are seeking quotations from suitably qualified organisations to conduct a feasibility study on all fourteen long list sites, with a view to informing a full tender process for the end to end supply and installation of new EV Charging Units at selected sites.

The appointed contractor will be expected to consult and liaise with the local Distribution Network Operator, Electricity North West, to identify supply capacity and installation costs for the required supplies at the listed sites.
