Description

Surrey County Council are looking to re-procure their Community Equipment Services (CES).The core activities of the CES provider is to procure, deliver, install, maintain, collect and recycle equipment for service users on behalf of social care or NHS professional prescribers. The Commissioners view this as a strategically important service that supports numerous key initiatives relating to improved community-based care for people in Surrey, and as such linked to common outcomes for both the health and social care sectors.They are, therefore, seeking an experienced, competent and innovative provider who will work with them as a strategic business partner in a collaborative spirit of openness and trust and who will pro-actively support them in developing service initiatives that will deliver quality and value for the people of Surrey. This is a statutory service requirement and Surrey County Council will be leading the commissioning and procurement on behalf of the Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG’s).The new contract is anticipated to start no earlier than 1 April 2022 and will be in place for seven years with the option to extend for up to a further two 1-year periods.

Total Quantity or Scope

The core activities of the CES provider is to procure, deliver, install, maintain, collect and recycle equipment for service users on behalf of social care or NHS professional prescribers. They are, therefore, seeking an experienced, competent and innovative provider who will work with them as a strategic business partner in a collaborative spirit of openness and trust and who will pro-actively support them in developing service initiatives that will deliver quality and value for the people of Surrey. The service provider will provide evidence of quality assured policies and procedures that will be applied to this service.In general, this will be achieved by the service provider being able to effectively source, store, deliver, fit, demonstrate, maintain, collect, clean, refurbish and offer technical advice on equipment, as well as to install and where necessary, construct, adaptations.
