Orkney Islands Council (“the Authority”) has a requirement for the provision of kerbside collections and associated services, the majority of these provided as a statutory requirement under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 (As Amended), for domestic and commercial wastes arising on the islands of Eday, Sanday, Stronsay, North Ronaldsay, Papa Westray, Rousay Egilsay and Wyre within the Orkney Island Group.

Orkney Islands Council (“the Authority”) has a requirement for the provision of kerbside collections and associated services, the majority of these provided as a statutory requirement under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 (As Amended), for domestic and commercial wastes arising on the The contractor will be required to provide “kerbside” collections, including the delivery of associated consumables to service users, and other services for the Islands of Rousay, Egilsay and Wyre. In summary these services to comprise, the provision of weekly ‘kerbside’ domestic, commercial and litter bin residual waste collections, provide scheduled special collections of ‘bulky’ waste items and the supply and delivery of consumables to enable service provision and service user participation. Additional information: The new contracts will be for a five year duration commencing 1st September 2021 to 31st August 2026 with an initial contract term of 3 years with the option to extend for a further 2 x 12 months.
