Description

The NHS acute contract and payment rules are a highly specialised, complex and ever evolving area. It is a service area which the CSU provides to CCGs and NHS England Commissioning Hubs via various service lines, most significantly through the Business Intelligence Service. 2020 and 2021 has seen significant and immediate change brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic and its impact on acute, community and mental health services, commissioning, contracting and payment approaches will be long lasting. NEL CSU would like to commission an on-demand expert advice and guidance service, where complex technical queries about the NHS contracting and payment rules from anyone in the CSU can be emailed or telephoned to a dedicated mailbox or number, with comprehensive answers returned promptly and linked to the official documentation. In addition, NEL CSU requires an online training portal for all CSU staff to develop their knowledge of the National Tariff Payment System, which includes a National Tariff course and qualification, accredited by the NHS Financial Services Development Network. This should be updated each year in line with the release of new national guidance. The contract is for a duration of 3 years and the indicative total contract value for the 3 year period is in the range of £0:00 to £90,000.
