Description

This is a variation of the original contract. The contract has been extended for the period of up to 3 years. This has been negotiated using Regulation72(1)(C) of PCR 2015. The ability to advertise a variation notice has not been possible due to the original contract award being 2001 prior to the regulation requirements of full advertising. The Council wishes to work with a partner who will provide the leisure management services in the District in a way that is sympathetic to its policies and sports and arts development objectives.

Legal Justification

This is a variation of the original contract. The contract has been extended for the period of up to 3 years. This has been negotiated using Regulation72(1)(C) of PCR 2015. The ability to advertise a variation notice has not been possible due to the original contract award being in 2001, prior to the regulation requirements of full advertising. This notice is the only solution available to advertise the variation to FTS. The original contract was procured through a full negotiated procurement procedure. The opportunity was also advertised and a copy of this notice is available on request.
