Description

Cambridgeshire experienced widespread flooding in December 2020 and as a result, a programme of works was decided for the year 2021-2022. The Community Flood Action Programme is a County Council-funded programme to increase the county's resilience and ability to adapt to flooding. This will be achieved through improving access to flood risk management information, improving data quality, and providing guidance on asset management and support for local groups to establish community flood plans. Cambridgeshire County Council currently have a system for reporting floods online which sits within their website however, we are now looking to the engage the market again via this Soft Market Testing to understand what is available and with the aim of procuring a solution that is mobile/tablet friendly, that can be linked to our flood website, that can be searched by postcode or address, and is linked to mobile GPS, that can geocode reports of flooding from a point selected by the user on a map, is able to export data in both GIS and more 'user friendly' formats, can receive user photos, and is editable by the user. This software will be a key tool in capturing and managing flood report data.
