Description
Cambridgeshire County Council have an existing Cleaning & Grounds Maintenance contract, advertised within the Official Journal of the European on the 28th of August 2017, reference 2017/S 164-338113. Due to a combination of the Covid Pandemic, the change in Political Leadership at Cambridgeshire County Council necessitating the full review of the contractual options, and the Council's move to a new Headquarters meaning staff who would have been significantly involved in a Procurement exercise did not have capacity to do so, it has not been possible to award a fully compliant contract including the significant implementation period required to potentially allow for purchase of machinery and TUPE considerations in the required timescale. CCC are therefore submitting a Voluntary Ex-Ante Transparency Notice to allow for the current contract to be extended by 12 months, to allow a full tender process to take place.
