Legal Justification
Several other EU institutions who are in direct formal collaboration with the University's Centre for Cardiovascular Science, the Queen’s Medical Research Institute and, specifically, the research team acquiring this equipment, are already using the subject system. In the interests of interoperability with these collaborators and complementarity of research outputs, it is imperative that the system we acquire offers complete alignment and site-to-site compatibility and comparability of collected data with those from the collaborating laboratories concerned.
