Description
Dorset Council is seeking tenders from capable service providers for the provision of Children's Residential Care. The Council is required through a "sufficiency duty" to secure sufficient accommodation for children and young people under their care who cannot live at home. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high quality services and be part of making a positive contribution to the lives and well-being of children in Dorset. The purposes are to guarantee availability of placements, surety of funding for the provider(s) and to ensure best value through economies of scale where possible. The Total Contract Value is £42,000,000 over the 7-year term. The Framework has the following lots: Lot 1 - Planned and Same Day Children's Homes Residential Care Children and young people requiring planned and/ or same day residential care and accommodation only, with preparation for family living, who are normally resident within the Dorset Council area. Lot 2 - Therapeutic Residential Care Children and young people requiring a therapeutic residential placement, with preparation for family living, who are normally resident within the Dorset Council area (see page 16 for full definition of Therapeutic Care). To gain entry on to the Framework, Tenderers are required to submit their tender in accordance with the instructions set out in this procurement process.
