Description
The London Borough of Croydon is seeking to implement a Care Provider Register for the purchase of domiciliary and personal care packages for children and young people with disabilities. The CPR will enable the Council to purchase domiciliary and personal care (based on an agreed hourly rate) in both single and block arrangements. This will replace the current procedures of spot-purchasing care services on a needs/demand-led basis. The Children with Disabilities Care Provider Register will consist of two individual lots: • Lot 1 - Standard Care • Lot 2 - Complex Care
CPV Codes
- 85300000 - Social work and related services
- 85100000 - Health services
Indicators
- Contract is suitable for SMEs.
- Contract is suitable for VCOs.
Other Information
The Council has identified that the proposed service provision falls within the scope of "social and other specific services" set out within Schedule 3 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (Regulations). Consequently, the so-called Light Touch Regime will apply to this procurement. The Council is orientating this procurement towards an adapted open procedure as described in Regulation 27 of the Regulations but using a "light touch" approach. The Council does not hold itself bound by the 3 / 7Regulations except to the extent that they apply to the light touch regime as set out in Regulations 74 to 76 of the Regulations. During the 4 year period, the Council reserves the right to refresh the Care Provider Register and admit new providers onto the register who meet the initial quality and price evaluation criteria. The requirements of the Services may vary and quantities shall not be specified, guaranteed or warranted by the Council. The value of the service under the Approved Provider Panel Agreement is estimated to be in the region of £6.4m for Croydon Council.
