Other Information

The Contract will require the Supplier to provide project feasibility and full design services (including all necessary survey work), project cost estimates, advice on procurement and construction contracts, and the use of off-site manufacture where appropriate, along with Clerk of Works services. The Supplier will also manage the planning process and manage the procurement of construction partner administering the building contract to practical completion and handover. OCHL is seeking suppliers to provide all services necessary to deliver new housing on sites identified to them by OCHL. Using the RIBA Plan of Work 2013 as a basis and working closely with the OCHL’s project manager, the Supplier will assist in the delivery of new homes on identified sites subject to feasibility work demonstrating that they are proceedable It is possible that some design feasibility work has been previously undertaken on sites which will require verifying. The services during the construction contract period will be common to all sites. The Supplier will be asked to provide initial feasibility studies on sites to allow OCHL to identify which sites are best placed to be taken forward for development. The Supplier will need to compile the Employer’s Requirements for sites on behalf of OCHL. This work will need to develop into a set of specifications for each tenure being developed with particular attention to homes intended for open market sale and private rent along with other specialist advisors that OCHL may engage to assist with this aspect. The Supplier will lead on and attend all necessary public consultation events with the local community, interested parties, stakeholders and elected Members.
