Description

NHS Hampshire, Southampton and Isle of Wight Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) are awarding and merging the Practice lists of Beggarwood Practice with Camrose, Gillies & Hackwood (CGH) Partnership. A market engagement exercise with all North Mid Hampshire practices was carried out in May 2021 seeking for expressions of interest for a list merger and two providers responded. A tender process was undertaken to select a successful provider from these two providers only. The contract will be held in perpetuity unless otherwise terminated by the commissioner or provider in line with the terms and conditions of the contract and will start on the 1st February 2022.

Total Quantity or Scope

The award is based on the funding envelope outlined in the ITT documentation; an indicative £789,967 excluding VAT per annum, based on the Weighted List Size as of 1st April 2021 (includes OOH opt-out deduction), which will be added to the existing CGH annual funding envelope. This value will fluctuate annually to take into account list size movements as well as payments that are subject to performance indicators and activity including, but not limited to, QOF and Enhanced Services. The award also includes a one-off payment for new patient registrations, which equates to £235,000 ex VAT over the first twelve months. The opportunity was only advertised to providers of General Medical Services already operating within North and Mid Hampshire, Furthermore, a single provider for the site will not support the preferred Primary Care Network model. A list merger will bring Beggarwood into a local Primary Care Network, and making it part of a larger local practice will ensure financial affordability and stability due to the ability to support economies of scale in the local system.
