The arrangement that is the subject of this notice is Heads of Terms to be entered into by Northern Lincolnshire & Goole NHS Foundation Trust ("the Trust") and North Lincolnshire Council ("the Council") in relation to a proposed lease of Scunthorpe Market Site, Church Square, Scunthorpe ("the Site") to be used by Trust staff for residential accommodation (the "Proposed Lease"). The term of the Proposed Lease will be 25 years with various break clauses in favour of the Trust.

Legal Justification
The arrangement that is the subject of this notice is Heads of Terms to be entered into by Northern Lincolnshire & Goole NHS Foundation Trust ("the Trust") and North Lincolnshire Council ("the Council") in relation to a proposed lease of Scunthorpe Market Site, Church Square, Scunthorpe ("the Site") to be used by Trust staff for residential accommodation (the "Proposed Lease"). The term of the Proposed Lease will be 25 years with various break clauses in favour of the Trust. The Heads of Terms and Proposed Lease will not place any direct obligations on the Council to carry out any development, works or services in relation to the Site. Any development, works or services undertaken by the Council will be at the Council's discretion. It is therefore anticipated that this arrangement between the Trust and the Council will be a land transaction exempt from the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and the Trust and the Council have acted in good faith in this respect.

Any development, works or services undertaken by the Council will be at the Council's discretion. It is therefore anticipated that this arrangement between the Trust and the Council will be a land transaction exempt from the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and the Trust and the Council have acted in good faith in this respect. The values cited in this VEAT notice relate to the amount of rent payable under the 25 year lease that may be entered into following the Heads of Terms. Please note that the Trust will wait a period of 10 days prior to entering into the Heads of Terms and therefore the date in section V.2.1 is the date on or around that we sent this notice to publication.
