Description

There is consensus that DfE guidance on ventilation should reflect that of Cabinet Office, Scotland and Ireland and recommend the use of CO2 monitors to help education and childcare settings identify areas for improved ventilation. Having purchased C02 monitors to help identify areas of poor or limited ventilation, DfE are now looking to purchase up to1,000 air filtration devices as a countermeasure to SARS-CoV-2 transmission in poorly ventilated rooms. These devices are being reserved for those spaces that are identified as 'most in need' and where action to address ventilation issues is more complex. The Department for Education needs to purchase up to a total of 1,000air filtration devices that conform to the technical specification. The Department for Education also requires the supplier to distribute all the devices to selected educational settings within England based on eligibility criteria assessed by the Department for Education. Devices offered via the marketplace would need to be available to be delivered to educational settings within England(c.51k).
