Description

The intention of this Further Competition is to give the construction partners on the North West Construction Hub (NWCH), Medium Value Construction Framework, Lot 6, an opportunity to tender for appointment as the Construction Partner on Laithwaite Park and William Foster Parklife Hubs for Wigan Council. The tender will take the form of a Mini Competition between partners. This will be 'Stage 1' of a 2-Stage call-off procurement process under the protocols and procedures of the North West Construction Hub. Your submissions should be based upon the information provided and questions asked within the Further Competition document. Once selected, the successful constructor partner will become part of the Client's broader 'project team' to take the project forward through 'all-party collaborative engagement' to contract agreement. This will be Stage 2 of the call-off procurement process. The successful constructor partner will be required to appoint his own design team to take the current RIBA Stage 3+ Design (Developed Design) for both schemes, to Stage 6 (Handover and Close Out) to be engaged using the JCT Design and Build Contract, 2016 Edition. Laithwaite Park - Programme 34-week construction period: Design and Construction of a single storey, six change pavilion incorporating a multi-function club room space, education room, bar and commercial kitchen, with ground floor plant room, a new 256 space car park, with associated services and external works. A new access road into the park from Scott Lane is to be provided. William Foster - Programme 37-week construction period: Design and construction of a single storey, four change pavilion incorporating a multi-function clubroom, education room, café, new 160 space car park provision, with associated services and external works with a new access road into the park from The Grove to be provided.
