The AEB will act to: - define clear aspirations, and setting SMART outcomes to the work plan - oversee the work plan to hold to account through the AEB the commitments to delivery - seek assurance of impact arising from the delivery of the work plan - involve practitioners in the monitoring and evaluation of progress and impact on children - involve children and families in the monitoring of outcomes and service improvement - hold senior managers to account independently - have a clearer line of sight of frontline practice and performance - enable space for reflective discussion and focusing on the things that make a difference to children. The meetings of the AEB can be supplemented as required with targeted work and support, workshops, and other approaches as seen fit to support its objectives.
