Description

Modelling at Howden-le-Wear and Crook has been identified as requiring progression this financial year. The Crook Beck, Beechburn Beck and Howden Beck are all main rivers, flowing into the River Wear. All three channels are flanked by high ground. The catchment is ungauged and there are no plans to add additional telemetry in this financial year.The project will be delivered in two key milestone phases, under one contract. Phase 1 will be carried out during 2022 and will involve a data review, production of a model method statement, survey scoping and a site visits (following COVID-19 guidance). Phase 2 will be completed during 2022 and will involve hydrological assessments, model build and design runs.
