Description
The Department for the Economy is seeking to procure a Disability Support Service (DSS) to provide specialist and other distinctive disability support in respect of participant’s disability needs who participate on the Client’s Vocational and Educational Training programmes. Multiple suppliers will deliver specialist training across Northern Ireland. This contract will be subdivided into lots. Tenders may be submitted for 5 Lots comprising of 5 Disability Areas where DSS support may be needed by an eligible participant. These 5 lots are: 1) Cognition and Learning 2) Social, Behavioural, Emotional and Well-Being 3) Speech, Language and Communication Needs 4) Sensory 5) Physical Needs The aim of the DSS is to provide this further support in the form of Pre-Entry Training Support prior to the participant entering a programme and In-Training Disability Support while they are taking part on their programme.

** PREVIEW NOTICE, please check Find a Tender for full details. ** The DSS Contractor must comply with and provide the Client with data or information as specified in the Contract Management/Monitoring Schedule as well as routine management reports on the programme as specified by the Client from time to time. As requested by the Client, the DSS Contractor may also be required to provide information in relation to particular service issues brought to the attention of the Minister or raised directly with the Client by an individual. In providing information to answer Ministerial or other cases, the DSS Contractor may have to liaise with members of its supply chain. If this is necessary the DSS Contractor must ensure that there is no delay in doing so and the target timescales are met..
