Description
Lot 1 = Pop-up Satellite Archival Tags capable of deployment for 1 year (battery and memory capacity). Lot 2 = Tags capable of deployment for 2 years (battery and memory capacity).

1 | School of Biology: Pop-up Satellite Archival Tags Lot 1: The requirements for a 1-year of deployment Pop-up Satellite Archival Tags should: - be 150 cm or smaller (tag body length exc. aerial). - track sharks for a period of up to 1-year. - automatically detach from the shark. - record archival depth and temperature data. - provide estimated daily locational data with associated error. - provide real-time surface location data post detachment. -transmit data via satellite network. - be programmable for user requirements (including data resolution, data priority, deployment period). - tags must include a tether and anchor. Final anchor design to be discussed, but likely to be stainless steel or titanium metal dart anchor. - cost of any application hardware (applicator pin, pole and handle (for both ‘on deck’ application and ‘in water’ application) should also be included. A total of 2 applicators will be required).
