Description

The new Oral Health Prevention and Promotion service has been designed to achieve better outcomes for residents without increasing resources through more effective targeting and closer partnership working with key stakeholders. The service will deliver: Greater awareness of how to maintain good oral health amongst children, vulnerable adults and older people Improvement in oral health seeking behaviour in local communities Improved oral health and reduction in dental decay, hospital visits and admissions for tooth extractions Closer partnership working amongst local stakeholders to improve oral health, including collaborative working with the Local Dental Committee to disseminate information and increase take up of dental services More effective targeting of the high risk groups such the Orthodox Jewish Community and care home and supported living residents.
