Description

Provision of Facilities Management Soft Services across the Trust portfolio. The Trust wish to consider a total or part provision as it is keen to offer some of the services to SME’s and local businesses on a separate but co-terminus contract arrangement. The proposed process will be Competition with Negotiation where the Trust will retain the right to award after the first stage without further negotiation. Alternatively, it may choose to instigate a further round of negotiation if the final solution is not achieved where, for instance, the MEAT score is within 10 percent of the nearest bidder.

1 Procurement of Facilities Management Soft Services
  • Value: £9M

The procurement of a range of Facilities Management Soft Services for the BEH estate which are managed by the Trust and their Contract Management team. The process will split into a prior information notice followed by a Contract Notice and requirement to complete a Supplier Questionnaire which will be evaluated and moderated by the Trust. Following this stage the Trust can shortlist to a minimum 3 providers to continue the negotiation process. The procurement will be a mix of document completion and negotiation sessions with the Trust . There is an option to run a further round of negotiation if there is no clear winning bid and the evaluation criteria for the entire exercise will be based on a suitable price/quality ratio set out in the procurement documents issued with the Contract Notice.

2 Patient Catering

The procurement of cleaning (excluding window cleaning) services across the BEH estate. This includes the procurement of a planned, routine cleaning regime as well as ad-hoc reactive, spot cleans as required as well as periodic and deep cleaning.

3 Visitor Catering

The procurement of a restaurant, vending and hospitality service across the BEH estate.

4 Cleaning
  • Value: £4M

The procurement of cleaning (excluding window cleaning) services across the BEH estate. This includes the procurement of a planned, routine cleaning regime as well as ad-hoc reactive, spot cleans as required as well as periodic and deep cleaning.

5 Window Cleaning
  • Value: £25K

The procurement of a specialist, routine window cleaning service across the BEH estate.

6 Pest Control
  • Value: £25K

The procurement of planned and reactive pest control service across the BEH estate.

7 Portering
  • Value: £350K

The procurement of a portering service across and between all of the sites within the BEH estate.

8 Grounds Maintenance
  • Value: £100K

The procurement of a proactive grounds maintenance (including internal and external planting) as well as a responsive gritting and snow clearance service as required across the BEH estate.

9 Waste
  • Value: £100K

The procurement of a waste collection, segregation and removal service from all sites within the BEH estate.

10 Security
  • Value: £650K

The procurement of a proactive, sensitive and considerate manned guarding, patrol and CCTV monitoring service across the BEH estate.

Renewal Options

This will be an initial contract of 5 years with the potential of a further 1 year + 1 year.
