Description

The Authority is seeking to procure a consultant to carry out a preliminary offshore ground investigation. The purpose of the investigation is to determine the nature and extent of ground and groundwater contamination within the site boundaries. Full details of the precise requirements are detailed within the relevant sections of the Invitation To Tender pack. The investigation is linked to the following site development project objectives for the Yorkshire Cruise Terminal, Hull: The installation of a cruise ship berth and terminal at Sammy’s Point, Hull. The Consultant is required to make an immediate start on this project following appointment, which is anticipated to be during June 2022. The specified works are anticipated to take a duration of around three (3) months to complete.

Total Quantity or Scope

The investigation shall comprise: i. 12nr Vibrocores to between 3 and 5 metres below bed level · ii. Geotechnical laboratory testing · iii. Geo-environmental laboratory testing. The consultant will: iv. Determine material properties of superficial sediments by method of collecting samples from vibrocores v.
