Description

Cornwall Council is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced organisation, or organisations, that are accredited to ISO/IEC 17025, in accordance with the Drinking Water Testing Specification (DWTS), by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) and can provide the range of water testing requirements including Private Water Supplies, Legionella & Leisure Waters and Closed Landfill

1 Water Testing Services - Private Water Supplies

The Private Water Supplies Regulations 2016 (as amended 2018) requires Local Authorities to sample private water supplies. The sampling schedule and analysis is determined by the regulations and the results of risk assessments. The regulations require the analysis of the water samples to be conducted by a UKAS accredited laboratory capable of analysing samples to the required ISO standards.
2 Water Testing Services - Closed Landfill Monitoring

The Council is looking to appoint a suitably accredited laboratory to provide a testing service for all our routine and reactive sample analysis arising from the management of closed landfill sites and leachate treatment operations.
