Description

The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust (DGFT) is announcing a pre-procurement notice with regards to plans surrounding the modernisation of clinical communications. Whilst this is not currently a formal procurement notice, the Trust is mindful that over the next coming months external third-party suppliers will be sought out to assist in this modernisation. Currently, the Trust is exploring options within the market with the plan to engage in prior discourse with suppliers ahead of the formal process. DGFT is a Digital Trust who is transitioning to the cloud and prefers software as a service to ensure a high user experience and minimise overall maintenance. A traditional Bleep communication system is currently being utilised. A new method of communication is being explored for multi-disciplinary teams as the current system of using Bleeps and then subsequently phoning colleagues is labour intensive and is not conducive to working within a team. As a result, a new communication approach is required to improve how our teams operate.

Other Information

DGFT is looking to engage in pre-market conversations to realise a range of proposed solutions. The Trust will be holding two virtual engagement half-days on Monday 27th June (1pm - 5pm) and Thursday 30th June (10am - 1pm) where we will be asking potential suppliers to demonstrate their proposed services that will meet the needs of the Trust. The Trust is particularly interested not only in the minimum needs being met, but also what supplemental services may be offered to compliment the original ask. The scope of the engagement day will be as follows: o A 1 Hour Demonstration per supplier that includes 15 minutes of questions and answers o Demonstrations will allow an opportunity for potential suppliers to illustrate the value add of their services, over the minimum requirements of the Trust. o During the demonstration and / or in a follow-up response, the following should be addressed: o Your current solution offering any potential upcoming developments o Process and system demonstration o High-level implementation plan including what DGFT must do to ensure success o Case studies from other NHS trusts with the outlying benefits o What have you learned during previous implementations o What are the key risks and mitigations? o Cost model in the marketplace including implementation and realising the benefits of any technical solution Places during the engagement day will be filled through a first come first serve basis. If you would like further information or to book a slot during one of the above dates, please contact Dr Mike Perrins (mike.perrins@nhs.net).
