Description

Brighton & Hove City Council is commissioning a service that delivers a Cancer Awareness and Early Diagnosis Service to help improve cancer outcomes in the Brighton & Hove city area. The purpose of the service is to increase early diagnosis by: • Increasing awareness, knowledge and confidence about the signs and symptoms of cancer. • Increasing awareness of, and number of people attending NHS Cancer Screening Programmes. • Working with other organisations in the city to raise knowledge and awareness of cancer. • Targeting engagement in deprived communities and tailoring communications to specific audiences. • Incorporate the use of digitally enabled care to help patients and their carers manage their health. A number of organisations have been commissioned to provide cancer prevention services and local awareness campaigns in the city, and the successful bidder will need to build on this work.
