Description

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is looking to engage with providers in the marketplace for the provision of RSI Accommodation Based Support Hub. Providers are invited to attend a market engagement (ME) event on the 24th August 2022, between 10.00-11.30am on Microsoft Teams.

Total Quantity or Scope

Rough sleeping (RS) can be a transitory state & many experience a ‘revolving door’ cycle, moving in and out of short-term accommodation. . The Council wishes to continue commissioning the provision of a temporary RSI (Rough Sleeper Initiative) Accommodation-based Support Hub for adults who are homeless, RS or at risk of RS & will form part of the Council’s RSI Pathway. . The hub will provide a more accessible, appropriate, coordinated approach to supporting vulnerable people & find long-term sustainable housing options. . The hub will support people RS off the streets or people who are of greater risk of RS. The service will help develop individual’s wellbeing and stability, ultimately supporting them to achieve & maintain independence, reducing the number of people RS in both the short and longer term. . Key components of the hub: • The quality of the accommodation provided will be a welcoming & safe environment & have capacity for up to 8 short-term emergency bed spaces. • It is to be staffed 24 hours a day. • There should be a communal area & kitchen facilities for residents. • Provide strength-based approach support. • Staff will be experienced in working with entrenched RS, including those presenting with complex needs. • The hub will be delivered in joint partnership between the Provider and RMBC’s RSI team. • The RSI team will lead on driving a coordinated approach with specialist agencies and housing options as part of the move on efforts • Accommodation will be provided for up to 6 weeks (extensions permitted by exception). .
