Description

NHS Grampian (the Authority) is inviting tenders for the Supply and Delivery of Radioactive Medicines and Associated Materials to the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, NHS Grampian. Supplies are to be delivered to the right quality, quantities and to the specification as detailed in our summary of requirements. Contract is for a period of 36 months with possible extensions to maximum of 2x 12 months (+1+1). Lot Division

1 Lot A: Generators

The requirement is for appropriately shielded generators to yield not less than 37 GBq of technetium-99m at 0830 Monday-Friday, with ideally no more than two generators to be eluted to give this activity. The generator must be capable of being stored suitably within secondary shielding and eluted within our vertical laminar flow cabinet. All tender proposals must provide details of the dimensions & weight of their generators, the dimensions & weight of the secondary shielding & the space required to allow elution of generator. Where radiation dose rates are reduced by use of DU shielding then this will score higher than lead shielded generators. Price to include uplift and return of spent generators. The generators must be supplied with the appropriate paperwork, packaging and labels to comply with current UK transport of dangerous goods regulations. Tender proposals must provide details, with costs, of any ancillary materials (e.g. Sodium Chloride vials, elution vials & shields, needles, needle protectors) required to operate the generator. The generator must be compatible with kit radiopharmaceuticals from other manufacturers. In the event of generator failure, replacement must be effected within 24 hrs.
