Lot Division
1 | Inclusion - Increasing Access to Inclusive, Community Based Arts and Leisure Activities The Provider shall contribute to the delivery of GCC's statutory duty to provide a wide range of short breaks by ensuring access to a wide range of inclusive, community-based out of school arts and leisure activities across Gloucestershire for disabled children, young people and young adults people up to and including the age of 25, including: • autism-friendly options; • provision for those with complex needs; • whole family options; • provision for non-disabled siblings to attend with their disabled brother or sister where appropriate. Activities may include siblings or whole families where this is appropriate. |
2 | Inclusion - Increasing Access to Inclusive, Community-Based Physical Activities and Sport he Provider shall contribute to the delivery of GCC's statutory duty to provide a wide range of short breaks by ensuring access to a wide range of inclusive, out of school, community-based physical activity and leisure activities across Gloucestershire for disabled children, young people and young adults people up to and including the age of 25, in order to; • improve health and fitness; • gain confidence; • learn new skills; • increase independence and aspirations (including to employment); • learn how to manage risks safely; • make decisions; • and through participation in physical activities, sport and art develop friendships and be active participants in their communities in order to facilitate natural short breaks. Activities may include siblings or whole families where this is appropriate. |
3 | Specialist Countywide Saturday or Sunday Club and Playscheme Specialist Countywide Saturday or Sunday Club and Playscheme The Service will provide day short break sessions on Saturdays or Sundays and during the School holidays in the operating area of Gloucestershire County Council to deliver the following objectives; • A stimulating and fun social group for disabled young people within travelling distance of their homes, with quiet space and activities for those needing relative calm and who wish to be with only small numbers of people; • Support disabled young people to take part in their local community outside of club times; • Supporting transition to mainstream clubs for those young people for whom this is appropriate; • Development of pathways into adult life for 16-25 year aids, with a focus on opportunities for skills development, opportunities to contribute (for example volunteering or work experience, or supporting or encouraging other disabled young people), independence (for example in travel), and opportunities to develop friendships in the communities in which they live. Target Group • The target group for this provision will be children and young people aged 8 – 18 living in Gloucestershire with severe challenging behaviour and a diagnosis of Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) or Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). |
4 | Cheltenham Area: Day Short Break Sessions on Saturdays or Sundays and During the School Holidays The Service will provide day short break sessions on Saturdays or Sundays and during the School holidays in the operating area of Cheltenham Borough Council to deliver the following objectives; • A stimulating and fun social group for disabled young people within travelling distance of their homes, with quiet space and activities for those needing relative calm and who wish to be with only small numbers of people; • Support disabled young people to take part in their local community outside of club times; • Supporting transition to mainstream clubs for those young people for whom this is appropriate; • Development of pathways into adult life for 16-25 year aids, with a focus on opportunities for skills development, opportunities to contribute (for example volunteering or work experience, or supporting or encouraging other disabled young people), independence (for example in travel), and opportunities to develop friendships in the communities in which they live. |
5 | Forest of Dean Area: Day Short Break Sessions on Saturdays or Sundays And During The School Holidays The Service will provide day short break sessions on Saturdays or Sundays and during the School holidays in the operating area of Forest of Dean Council to deliver the following objectives; • A stimulating and fun social group for disabled young people within travelling distance of their homes, with quiet space and activities for those needing relative calm and who wish to be with only small numbers of people; • Support disabled young people to take part in their local community outside of club times; • Supporting transition to mainstream clubs for those young people for whom this is appropriate; • Development of pathways into adult life for 16-25 year aids, with a focus on opportunities for skills development, opportunities to contribute (for example volunteering or work experience, or supporting or encouraging other disabled young people), independence (for example in travel), and opportunities to develop friendships in the communities in which they live. |
6 | Gloucester Area: Day Short Break Sessions on Saturdays or Sundays and During the School Holidays The Service will provide day short break sessions on Saturdays or Sundays and during the School holidays in the operating area of Gloucester City Council to deliver the following objectives; • A stimulating and fun social group for disabled young people within travelling distance of their homes, with quiet space and activities for those needing relative calm and who wish to be with only small numbers of people; • Support disabled young people to take part in their local community outside of club times; • Supporting transition to mainstream clubs for those young people for whom this is appropriate; • Development of pathways into adult life for 16-25 year aids, with a focus on opportunities for skills development, opportunities to contribute (for example volunteering or work experience, or supporting or encouraging other disabled young people), independence (for example in travel), and opportunities to develop friendships in the communities in which they live. |
7 | Stroud & South Cotswolds Area: Day Short Break Sessions on Saturdays or Sundays And During The School Holidays The Service will provide day short break sessions on Saturdays or Sundays and during the School holidays in the operating area of Stroud Borough Council together within the South Cotswolds (defined as being the area South of the A40 within the Cotswold District Council area) to deliver the following objectives; • A stimulating and fun social group for disabled young people within travelling distance of their homes, with quiet space and activities for those needing relative calm and who wish to be with only small numbers of people; • Support disabled young people to take part in their local community outside of club times; • Supporting transition to mainstream clubs for those young people for whom this is appropriate; • Development of pathways into adult life for 16-25 year aids, with a focus on opportunities for skills development, opportunities to contribute (for example volunteering or work experience, or supporting or encouraging other disabled young people), independence (for example in travel), and opportunities to develop friendships in the communities in which they live. |
8 | Tewkesbury & North Cotswolds Area: Day Short Break Sessions on Saturdays or Sundays And During The School Holidays The Service will provide day short break sessions on Saturdays or Sundays and during the School holidays in the operating area of Tewkesbury Borough Council and together within the North Cotswolds (defined as being the area North of the A40 within the Cotswold District Council area) to deliver the following objectives; • A stimulating and fun social group for disabled young people within travelling distance of their homes, with quiet space and activities for those needing relative calm and who wish to be with only small numbers of people; • Support disabled young people to take part in their local community outside of club times; • Supporting transition to mainstream clubs for those young people for whom this is appropriate; • Development of pathways into adult life for 16-25 year aids, with a focus on opportunities for skills development, opportunities to contribute (for example volunteering or work experience, or supporting or encouraging other disabled young people), independence (for example in travel), and opportunities to develop friendships in the communities in which they live. |
