Description

Orkney Islands Council has a requirement to appoint suppliers / providers in relation to the supply and delivery of catering products to a number of authority establishments throughout Orkney. The required provisions are as follows: Fresh Milk, Fresh Fruit, Vegetables and Potatoes, Fresh Fish, Fresh Butchers Meat, Bread and Morning Goods, Frozen Food, Groceries and Provisions and Dairy Products. The Contracts will be collaborative in conjunction with Orkney Islands Council and NHS Orkney (Balfour Hospital).

Total Quantity or Scope

Orkney Islands Council and NHS Orkney have a requirement for the supply and delivery of catering supplies to a number of OIC and NHS Orkney establishments throughout Mainland Orkney, including the linked isles of Burray and South Ronaldsay and the inner isles (Shapinsay, Rousay and Hoy) with an anticipated start date commencing 1 November 2023 and into 2024 depending on the end date of the existing contacts.

** PREVIEW NOTICE, please check Find a Tender for full details. ** A Meet the Buyer Event is planned with Orkney Business Gateway and is to take place on Friday 19th August 2022 at Kirkwall Town Hall in the Supper Room from 11am to 12.30pm. The Meet the Buyer Event will comprise of an introductory presentation to explain the purpose of the event and to discuss the potential procurement process. Business Gateway advisors and staff from the procurement team will provide a short session to ensure that all existing contractors and new ones are signed up to the Public Contracts Scotland advertising portal and know where to access advice in advance of the formal tender exercises commencing in September 2022. The publication of the PIN does not commit Orkney Islands Council to any particular procurement process or to appoint a contractor or to taking forward of the project. Potential participants must note that a response to the PIN does not form part of any selection process.
