Description

The BBC is tendering for the provision of courier services. The BBC requires a Managed Service Provider for courier services, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days per year via their own network and third party providers for delivery of packages, goods and equipment of varying dimensions and weights. Although the majority of movements are standard deliveries, there is a requirement for specialist and time sensitive movements such as programme rushes that are time sensitive and broadcast equipment i.e., lighting and cameras. Three main services are required: same day National courier services, next day / overnight courier services and international courier services. Services must be bookable via an online booking tool access via BBC single sign on, supported by offline support. The estimated contract value is up to £1m per annum. The estimated total contract value of £7m is based on the BBC utilising the full contract term available of seven (7) years.

Renewal Options

The Contract will have a three (3) month implementation period prior to Service Commencement. The Contract will have an initial term of five (5) years from the Service Commencement date. The initial term may be extended at the BBC's discretion on two (2) occasions, by up to twelve (12) calendar months on each occasion.

However, the final decision as to which is the most economically advantageous (by reference to the award criteria) will be made by the BBC. The awarding authority reserves the right not to award a contract and to annul the procurement process at any stage. Tenders and all supporting documents must be priced in sterling and all payments will be made in sterling. The contract shall be subject to English law. The awarding authority does not bind itself to accept the lowest, or any tender and reserves the right to accept part of a tender unless the tenderer expressly stipulates otherwise in the tender document.
