Description
Procurement Type: PIN as a Call for Competition, with a view to Direct Award Contract start date: Upon signing by both parties Contract end date: 12 months with the option to extend for a further 2 periods of 12 months Description: Health Education England are putting out this notice as a PIN (Prior Information Notice) with a view to completing a Direct Award to Shuri Network. The case for direct award can be found on the tender portal. HEE is seeking a provider to provide a range of education, training and development opportunities for women from ethnic minority backgrounds working in or wanting to enter the DDaT profession in health and care. These programmes will be developed in partnership with HEE DRE and will be designed by the supplier to meet the development needs identified from the target community. HEE believes that it is highly unlikely for any other supplier to be able to provide the following skills/tools provided by Shuri Network as a current supplier for the following reasons: 1. The Shuri Network, founded in 2019, is the only specialist network supporting women from ethnic minority backgrounds in digital health and care in the UK. 2. The network has access to expertise from a wide range of senior leaders in digital health and care, who have publicly supported the network. This includes the NHSE Director of Transformation, the HEE CEO, the NHS Digital CEO, the NHSE CNIO and the NHS Digital Chief Medical Officer and Chief Nurse. 3. The network has over 2,200 members and allies, who support the network, from all areas of the health and social care system. The network regularly seeks feedback for its members and designs programmes tailored to meet the needs of women from ethnic minority backgrounds. 4. The network's Fellowship and bursary programmes have created a group of around 100 Fellows who contribute both to the ongoing development of the network and Shuri programmes, and to digital developments and policies at local and national level across the country. 5. The network has good connections with ICSs and an in-depth understanding of national, regional and ICS digital delivery and workforce priorities and challenges. It is therefore well-placed to support ICSs to deliver digital innovation and develop their pipeline of digital leaders and champions . https://health-family-contract-search.secure.force.com/?SearchType=Projects
