Description
The Defence Science & Technology Laboratory (DSTL) intends to award a contract to Airbus Defence and Space Limited for the supply of a Vision-1 Payload Data Ground Segment (Vision-1 PDGS) and associated IT infrastructure. The contractor will build, configure, test and deliver the system to DSTL for installation and final testing. Together with a support package until 31 March 2025.

Legal Justification
It is considered that this contract can be awarded using the negotiated procedure without prior publication of a contract notice, pursuant to Regulation 16(1) (a) (ii) of the UK Defence and Security Public Contract Regulations 2011 for the following Technical Reasons. Technical Reasons: The proposed solution is required to provide an established, sensor agnostic approach to satellite data processing, capable of full integration upon deployment with extant UK Government architectures. Please note this is a Voluntary Transparency Notice, this contract has not been awarded yet. Subject to DSTL receiving no notice during the standstill period of any intention to legally challenge the award process, DSTL aims to award the Proposed Contract after 12:00 on 26 September 2022 (10 calendar days after publishing) DSTL reserves the right to amend any condition related to security of information to reflect any changes in national law or government policy. If any contract documents are accompanied by instructions on safeguarding classified information (e.g. a Security Aspects Letter), DSTL reserves the right to amend the terms of these instructions to reflect any changes in national law or government policy, whether in respect of the applicable protective marking scheme, specific protective markings given, the aspects to which any protective marking applies or otherwise.
