Description

This notice is placed as a Prior Information Notice in relation to a pre-procurement market engagement event and a market questionnaire. NHS Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care Board (BSW ICB), NHS Somerset ICB and NHS Devon ICB are seeking Expressions of Interest from Providers who have the capability and capacity to deliver Primary Care Medical Services Special Allocation Scheme (SAS) services in some or all of the following locations: Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon, Wiltshire, Somerset and Devon commencing between 1st April 2023 and 1st July 2023. Current approximate annual contract values are as follows: NHS BSW ICB £70,000-£80,000 (excludes provision of security staff which is paid for separately by the ICB)NHS Somerset ICB £60,000 (includes provision of security staff) NHS Devon ICB £150,000 (includes provision of security staff). To attend the online engagement event please submit a completed questionnaire by 12pm Fri 30th Sept 2022.

Total Quantity or Scope

NHS Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care Board, NHS Somerset Integrated Care Board and NHS Devon Integrated Care Board are seeking Expressions of Interest from Providers who have the capability and capacity to deliver Primary Care Medical Services Special Allocation Scheme (SAS) services in some or all of the following locations: Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon, Wiltshire, Somerset and Devon commencing between 1st April 2023 and 1st July 2023.SAS services aim to provide a secure environment where patients who have been violent or aggressive in their own GP practice can receive general medical services. Availability of SAS services enables Commissioners to balance the rights of patients to receive services from GPs, with the need to ensure the security of GPs, practice staff and other patients.In addition to providing routine GP appointments, the SAS service also includes call handling arrangements to enable patients to make an appointment, and the provision of security escorts to attend the appointment. SAS services are required to work towards repatriating patients back to mainstream GP services wherever possible. A market engagement event is being held on Thursday 13th October at 2.30 p.m. Interested providers will be able to view this notice via the ‘Live Opportunities’ list on Atamis, available on the following link: https://health-family.force.com/s/Welcome Providers who would like to attend the Market Engagement event will need to be registered on the Atamis e-procurement system, express an interest and complete a Market Engagement Questionnaire by 12.00 Noon Fri 30th Sept 2022.This process is being carried out by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW) on behalf of the Commissioners.
