Description

Requirement for Individual Placement Support (IPS) service for Herefordshire. Individual Placement and Support Services has been identified by both DWP and NHS England as a promising intervention to address unemployment in mental health. The service will deliver time-limited individual placement by providing employment support via an Employment Specialist, in line with the principles of Individual Placement and Support (IPS). Providers would be expected to provide a Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm Service, excluding Bank Holidays, however it is expected that there will be flexibility in the hours to accommodate the needs of service users. The Employment Specialist will work as part of an integrated member of a nominated Team, Recovery Team or Early Intervention Team. The levels of activity we would expect from the provider of an Individual Placement Service would be to accept 100% of referrals to the service. Proposed contract length of 2 years, with an option to extend for three further twelve month periods. Herefordshire is located within the West Midlands and has a population of 192,214 and an area size of 2,180 km2.
