Location

Description

This project is to procure one recirculating tilting flume with a raised walkway which is to be installed and commissioned into the University's Future Towns Innovation Hub flume laboratory. The size requirements of the required flume can be found in section M4 of the specification (Appendix 1 of File 2). The new flume is requested primarily for research purposes and secondarily for the underpinning of the undergraduate and postgraduate taught curriculum. The proposed facility will support funded research areas in ecohydraulics, water engineering, coastal engineering, and marine energy. The total size of the new lab is 17.7m x 8.4m with the overall height of the lab being approximately 3.8m. The flume provided should be sized in line with the specification to allow access from above via a raised walkway and any additional equipment already owned by the University.
