Description
Norfolk County Council is seeking experienced providers for two services for Children in Care, Care Leavers and Children and Young People on a Child Protection Plan. The services are tendered as two ‘Lots’:Lot 1: Independent Advocacy provides Children in Care, Care Leavers and children and young people on a Child Protection Plan with an Advocate who helps to ensure their voice is heard when decisions are being made about them. An Advocate supports children and young people to resolve issues, make complaints, empowers them to speak out for themselves and helps them to understand their rights and available services. Lot 2: Independent Visitors (IV) is a befriending service for Children in Care. IVs are volunteers who act as a consistent, trusted adult for children and young people during uncertain and turbulent times. They engage children and young people in positive activities and act as an additional support for them, separate from professionals.
